Role Overview

As the Global Lead IT Ops and Infrastructure, you’ll be responsible for the company’s global IT operations and infrastructure strategy. You’ll manage a diverse international team, ensuring seamless IT performance across multiple regions, and will be deeply involved in day-to-day operations. This role requires a strong technical leader who can jump into challenges, solve problems on the spot, and ensure systems are running smoothly and securely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-On Global IT Team Leadership: Build and lead a global IT team focused on ERP, manufacturing, and engineering systems. You’ll be directly involved in team operations, working closely with your team to address both strategic and immediate technical challenges.
  • Infrastructure and Cloud Execution: Develop and implement robust cloud and network infrastructure to meet global scale demands. Expect to be hands-on with infrastructure deployments, troubleshooting, and optimizations.
  • IT Security & Compliance: Oversee IT security measures, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001, and lead efforts in disaster recovery and business continuity. You’ll directly manage and mitigate risks as they arise.
  • Operational IT Support: Lead IT operations across multiple global regions, ensuring quick resolution of issues and efficient hardware/software procurement. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be in the trenches, solving operational issues alongside your team.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Work closely with external vendors and partners to enhance operational efficiency and innovation. You'll negotiate and directly oversee vendor performance to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Change Management & System Upgrades: Oversee system changes using change management methodologies, with a focus on minimizing disruptions. Your leadership will be instrumental in managing critical transitions smoothly and efficiently.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a hands-on, proactive leader with deep technical expertise and a strong track record of managing global IT operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have significant experience leading global IT teams, building resilient infrastructures, and solving complex problems in real time.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in a senior IT role, preferably within the manufacturing sector. You should be comfortable managing both strategic IT initiatives and day-to-day operations.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep experience with Microsoft technologies (Azure, Active Directory, SharePoint), ERP systems, and IT security. You should also be well-versed in managing cloud infrastructures and leading security compliance efforts (ISO 27001).
  • Certifications: CompTIA, CITM, CISSP, or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership skills, with a hands-on approach to solving technical challenges. You’ll be expected to directly contribute to operational fixes and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders, and work collaboratively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work outside of typical hours when necessary to support global operations.
