Do you want to work as a Lead Front-end Developer at a fast-growing international scale-up that gives fans worldwide access to unforgettable live experiences? Are you able to lead a team of developers, shape front-end architecture, and take ownership of a high-impact e-commerce platform visited by hundreds of thousands of users?

For our client in the travel and ticketing industry, we are looking for a:

Lead Front-end Developer

Founded in 2007 by two friends with a passion for sports and entertainment, this dynamic company has grown into an international scale-up with over 100 employees. Their mission? Making exclusive live events worldwide accessible to a broad audience through official channels. From sports spectacles to major music events — they deliver experiences that matter. With an in-house team driven by results, a clear product vision, and a collaborative “let’s go” attitude, the organization operates from a modern headquarters near a major Dutch city. Clients include prominent clubs, organizers, and venues across Europe.

Since their early days, this company has made a remarkable transformation — from selling tickets at the stadium gate to becoming a fully digital powerhouse in online bookings. Their technical team builds and maintains a high-traffic platform designed for conversion and performance. The product team works closely with tech to iterate fast and launch impactful features. With a modern stack and ongoing investments in infrastructure, this is a perfect environment for experienced developers who want to help build the future of digital experiences.

This vacancy has become available due to strategic restructuring of the development team. The new Lead Front-end Developer will be responsible for mentoring three junior-to-mid developers, guiding architectural decisions, and representing the front-end vision at the table with leadership and product. The development team consists of five people, including external DevOps support. You'll work closely with a Product Owner who also manages people and hiring together with the CTO. This is a company where feedback flows both ways, where your opinion truly matters, and where initiative is rewarded. The ideal candidate is someone who leads with expertise, has strong architectural vision, and thrives in a setting where you’re expected to take ownership and work proactively. A technical sparring partner with a product mindset.

Fun fact: although the tech team is still relatively compact, the roadmap is bold and the ambitions are high — you'll be laying the groundwork for scaling, with buy-in from a strong Solution Architect and visible support from leadership.

Please note:
IND sponsorship is available, but only for candidates already living and working in the Netherlands. Relocation is not offered.

The profile of the Lead Front-end Developer:

  • Experience working in high-traffic e-commerce platforms with a focus on SEO and performance.

  • Skilled with Next.js, Jest, Docker, Git, and working within monorepo structures.

  • Bonus: experience with backend technologies like C#, Java, or Golang.

  • Familiar with agile environments and modern development methodologies.

  • You are analytical, proactive, and enjoy mentoring others.

  • You communicate clearly and have a sense of humor and ownership.

Packagedeal:
