Would you like to work as an Information Security Officer at a European education powerhouse that is transforming classrooms every day?
Are you ready to shape and lead the security strategy in an international environment where millions of students and teachers rely on secure digital learning solutions?

For our client in the educational technology sector, we are looking for an:

Information Security Officer

Founded in 2010 by a group of entrepreneurs with a background in educational publishing and technology, this organization’s mission is to make learning more accessible, secure, and impactful across Europe. Today, more than 400 employees work across multiple countries, delivering digital solutions that are used daily by schools, universities, and corporate organizations. What sets this company apart is its real impact in classrooms: students and teachers use their platforms during lessons, assessments, and learning journeys.

The organization combines the legacy of educational publishing with the power of modern technology. From printed textbooks to fully digital-first solutions, they have successfully transitioned into a provider of scalable and secure learning platforms. Their products range from digital course materials and adaptive learning platforms to analytics tools. The technical environment is centered around Microsoft Azure, infrastructure security, and secure software development practices. The culture is best described as “hands-on and collaborative”: engineers and security specialists work closely together, hackathons are organized regularly, and developers are challenged to embed security early in their code.

As an Information Security Officer, you will be at the heart of the organization’s security strategy. You will be responsible for protecting systems, applications, and data, while ensuring compliance with international standards such as ISO 27001 and GDPR. Your role will cover incident response, vulnerability management, and secure coding practices. It is a role that is both strategic and hands-on: you will advise management on risks and governance while directly engaging with developers and engineers to embed security into daily operations.

The profile of the Information Security Officer:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Information Security (or equivalent)

  • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity (for medior level)

  • At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity (for senior level)

  • Experience in both offensive and defensive security

  • Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, CIS, and risk assessment methodologies

  • Expertise in cloud security (Azure), IAM, and secure software development

  • Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management tools, and penetration testing

  • Certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable

  • Strong communication and analytical skills, able to stand your ground in discussions with developers

  • Fluent in English

Package deal:

  • Salary up to €6,000 gross per month (medior) and up to €7,000 (senior), based on 40 hours

  • Paid vacation days

  • Pension scheme

  • Travel allowance

  • Laptop and phone

  • Fixed workplace

  • Flexible working hours

  • Work-from-home options

  • Training budget

  • Career growth opportunities

  • Bonus scheme

  • Extras such as team events and hackathons
