Freelance Senior Backend Node.js Developer
This tech company, founded in 2022 by experienced entrepreneurs, is building a product that transforms how people connect to mobile data while travelling. With a team of 15 ambitious professionals, they move fast, think big, and expect the same from new team members. The vibe in the office? Sharp, driven, and focused on getting things done—think “build now, polish tomorrow.”
The platform gives users a one-time setup that unlocks mobile internet access across the globe—no more switching settings or dealing with regional restrictions. Their backend, fully running on Google Cloud Platform, is built to scale quickly and reliably. As the user base grows rapidly, the backend must keep up—and that’s where you come in.
You’ll be stepping into a tight-knit dev team consisting of three frontend developers, two backend developers, a Flutter developer and a data engineer. From day one, you’ll work on key components of the system, build new integrations, and make sure the platform stays solid and responsive. You’re not here to watch—you’re here to build.
The profile of the Freelance Senior Backend Node.js Developer:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s level of thinking
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer
- Strong expertise in Node.js
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Skilled in integrating third-party APIs
- Proven ability to deliver scalable and reliable backend systems
- Able to contribute from day one without hand-holding
- Pragmatic, communicative, and comfortable with autonomy
Packagedeal:
- Market rate freelance hourly fee
- 40 hours per week
- Initial 3-month contract, with potential for long-term extension
- 3–5 days per week on-site in Amsterdam
- Start date: as soon as possible
